EMILY HOLMES

I am intrigued by being humanly-- the interactions, connections, and contradictions of life.  My work has the intention of placing the viewer in a situation where they can experience emotion and reflect on their own personal experiences.  I use a combination of materials that suggest the ideas of  struggle and growth - and beauty as a result.  In each piece, I aim to place emphasis on the elements of shape, space, texture, juxtaposition and balance to convey an experience.
